Find Glades County Busted Mugshots

One agency anchors it all in Glades County: the Sheriff and the official booking record. The county jail search takes a name, a recent booking, or a released booking, and its results show a thumbnail with an Enlarge Photo control. Search it with a full name and a booking date. Older material comes through a records request to the sheriff with the same details once it has aged off, and the court record shows what the charges became. State prison, federal, and immigration custody sit in separate systems. That jail search, backed by the records request, is the source of Glades County busted mugshots, and the court file shows the result.

Glades County Busted Mugshot Records

Every Glades County booking record starts at the Detention Center. Deputies inventory property and cash there. They run a medical screening, log identifying details, and open the file. The mugshot is one piece of the record. It shows who was processed at the jail. Nothing more.

The actual photo stays in the Sheriff's SmartWEB system. Nothing is copied here. SmartWEB links each intake to a booking number, a master-name-index number, and sometimes one or more court case numbers. Each key does its own job. The booking number marks the jail episode. The MNI number ties names together inside the Sheriff's system. A case number tracks the matter once it reaches the court. Use all three when you search Glades County busted mugshots. Matching on a name alone invites errors, and the court file is where the outcome lives.

When Glades Mugshots Get Posted

Glades County publishes a clear intake sequence but no guaranteed online posting time. Property intake and medical screening come before booking and classification. The public SmartWEB entry can therefore lag behind an arrest while staff complete those steps. A missing result soon after an arrest does not prove that no intake occurred. It may reflect processing, spelling, another jail, a protected record, or a search range that is too narrow.

A person who has not bonded out receives a first appearance within 24 hours, either before the judge in person or by video. That hearing addresses the alleged charges and bond. It does not decide guilt or close the case. The Sheriff's official booking-process page shows the local sequence:

Glades County Detention Center official booking process record

The page helps explain why a Glades County mugshot may not appear at the same instant as the arrest and why a later court record is needed.

Note: The Sheriff publishes no SmartWEB refresh schedule, so recheck later or call the jail when timing matters.

Inside a Glades Booking Record

A SmartWEB result holds far more than a face and a name. Fields shift from booking to booking, and a blank field is not a legal conclusion of any kind. The address shown was given at intake, not verified. Bond figures move whenever a judge orders a change. For what prosecutors actually filed, and how the judge resolved it, the court file is the place to look.

FieldWhat the Glades County record shows
Photo and identityThumbnail, enlarge control, name, date of birth, age at booking, and demographic shorthand.
Jail identifiersBooking number, MNI number, booking date and time, status, and visitation status.
Custody and bondTotal bond, cash-only amount, release date when available, and charge-level bond details.
Charge detailsFlorida statute, abbreviated and fuller charge text, level or degree, arresting agency, and arrest number.
Court connectionCourt case number when populated. This is the best bridge to the Glades County Clerk record.

What does “In Jail” mean? It reflects the portal status at the time shown. Custody can change at any hour, so confirm time-sensitive status with the Sheriff's Office instead of trusting a saved image.

Request Glades Busted Mugshot Records

SmartWEB doesn't always return an older record. When it doesn't, try Glades County Sheriff's Office Records first for a county booking sheet or photo. Staff can furnish an available public record in person. Retrieval and lawful redaction take time, though. For mailed requests, the Sheriff aims to respond within five business days of receipt. Records tied to an active investigation may be withheld under stated practice. The requester gets notice when that happens.

  1. Collect the full name, approximate booking date, booking number if known, and the exact record sought.
  2. Ask for both the booking sheet and booking photograph, preferably in electronic form, and request a fee estimate first.
  3. Visit 1297 E. State Road 78 in Moore Haven or mail GCSO, Attn: Records Department, P.O. Box 39, Moore Haven, FL 33471 with a stamped return envelope.
  4. Call (863) 946-1600 with questions. Use the official Records page for its email link because the address was not reliably exposed in the source capture.
  5. After receiving the record, use the case number to check the Clerk's disposition rather than treating intake charges as the outcome.

The Sheriff's records instructions and posted fees are shown in the captured official page:

Glades County Sheriff's Office booking record request fees

Posted charges are $1 per copy, $1.50 per two-sided copy, and $7 per CD or DVD. A $2 local records check is separate. The jail's $25 non-federal booking fee is an intake charge, not a fee to obtain a record.

Florida Mugshot Law and Removal

Florida keeps its government records open by design. Article I, section 24 of the state constitution and Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes give the public broad access. Photographs count as records when made or received in the course of official business. Still, the door is not wide open. Sealed or expunged files stay closed, most juvenile material is protected, victim information is shielded, and details tied to active investigations can be withheld.

One remedy comes straight from the statute. Florida Statutes section 901.43 lets a person whose booking photo was published by a covered commercial site demand its removal for free. The request travels by registered mail to the publisher's registered agent. It must identify the person, the exact location of the image, and enough proof of identity. A covered publisher then has ten calendar days to take the photo down. It cannot republish the image afterward. Whether the law reaches a given site depends on that publisher's business model, so it does not wipe every government page or news archive from the internet.

Think of removal as a stack of separate tasks. Start with GCSO Records if the booking sheet contains a factual error. Then, if you qualify, ask FDLE for a Certificate of Eligibility and file a petition with the Glades court using the current Florida Courts forms. Keep in mind that a certificate is not itself a sealing or expungement order. Each covered publisher needs its own no-charge statutory request by mail. Once a page comes down at the source, ask the search engine to refresh its stale cache or snippet. Free publisher forms can help. But no fee can promise control over every copy floating around online.

Several publishers work with Glades County listings. Busted Newspaper offers a free listing-removal form for supported outcomes. It asks for the exact URL plus documents and quotes five to ten days. Mugshots.com provides free Record Maintenance for listed outcomes or statuses, with review possibly taking up to ten business days. Check Recently Booked's policy on the day you submit. No booking-record removal policy was verified for the Arrests.org page filtered to Glades. None of these optional forms replaces a section 901.43 registered-mail request where the statute applies.

Avoid paid-removal claims. Florida provides a no-charge statutory path. Never assume a payment can erase the Sheriff, Clerk, news, and search-engine copies at once.

Glades Busted Mugshots and Juveniles

Juvenile files work differently in Glades County. The Clerk keeps most of them confidential. So a child's name or photo will not appear the way an adult's busted mugshot does on SmartWEB. Nothing showing up for a minor can mean one of two things. The law may shield the file, or the custodian simply chose not to post it online.

Florida allows only a few narrow openings into these files. Custody on felony-equivalent charges is one. Certain adjudications and transfer into adult court are others. None of that makes every juvenile booking photo public. The custodian weighs each file on its own. And protected victim details stay off limits, no matter what the arrest record hints at.

Older Glades County Mugshot Archives

What you can find online and what the law requires agencies to keep are two different things. SmartWEB lets you search booking and release dates. The Sheriff sets no fixed lookback window for the public. Retention comes from Florida's General Records Schedule GS2, which sets minimum holding periods for law-enforcement and corrections records. The June 2023 version keeps booking records, commitment and release lists, and inmate incarceration files for at least one anniversary year after release. Jail docket books are permanent. None of this means a booking photo gets destroyed on the first anniversary. Another record series or a legal hold may still control it.

Hunting an older Glades County arrest takes patience. Run broad booking and release ranges in SmartWEB first. Then ask GCSO Records for the booking sheet and photograph directly. If the file is gone, ask which record series governed it. The Glades Clerk can pull an inactive court file, though off-site storage sometimes adds a day or more. The State Archives catalog is a final research avenue rather than a live mugshot database. A commercial repost is not a trustworthy archive either. It cannot tell you who is in custody now or how a case ended.

Note: A released booking can remain searchable, but Glades County publishes no guaranteed SmartWEB retention period.

Find Glades County Busted Mugshots

Start with custody, not with a name typed into a search box. SmartWEB is the official first stop for a new Glades County intake, current county custody, and some released bookings. From there the trail splits. The Glades Clerk holds the judicial record. The Florida Department of Corrections covers people sentenced to state custody or supervision. ICE plus the Federal Bureau of Prisons handle separate federal questions. A wanted notice, meanwhile, is not proof that anyone is actually in custody.

  1. Open the Sheriff's SmartWEB Jail View and use “Booked Last 24 Hours” for a new intake or enter a reliable name and date range.
  2. Match the booking number, date, and arresting agency. Expand the charge rows and copy any court case number.
  3. Use release dates for a person who may have left the jail. If no result appears, request the sheet and photo from GCSO Records.
  4. Search the Glades Clerk by case number or party name for filed charges, hearings, dismissal, judgment, or sentence.
  5. Move to FDC, ICE, or BOP only when the known custody state calls for that separate official system.

A no-result search proves very little. An arrest may still have occurred. The empty screen could reflect a processing delay, a spelling difference, release outside your chosen dates, protected material, or custody sitting in another system entirely.

Where Glades Busted Mugshots Appear

Go to official sources first. They name the agency and show the current record. Private publishers copy public data on their own schedules, so a site may omit a booking, leave an old photo up long after release, or miss a changed charge. No private county page can stand in for the Sheriff and the Clerk.

Glades County Busted Jail Roster

One SmartWEB portal handles every Glades County jail search. It covers current status, named lookups, fresh bookings, and release-date queries, all through a single form. That form takes a last, first, and middle name. It also takes booking and release date ranges, a search scope, a sort field, and your preferred order. You need at least one criterion before the search will run. Results for adults may include a photo thumbnail with an enlarge option, though the Sheriff makes no promise of a photo on every protected or incomplete record.

The official Glades County SmartWEB interface documents the roster and its rolling feed:

Busted Recently in Glades County

The SmartWEB view labeled "BOOKED Last 24 Hours" is the only confirmed fixed recent-booking window. It rolls continuously rather than resetting at midnight. So it is not a daily report. Need two days, a week, or anything in between? Enter your own begin and end booking dates. That builds a multiday query, not an official 48-hour, 72-hour, or weekly blotter.

Every window returns the same layout. You get a photo when one exists, the booking timestamp, custody status, identifiers, a bond summary, and expanded charge rows. No Moore Haven police blotter was found. Nor a Sheriff PDF arrest log. Nor a separate weekend feed. Don't call weekend activity a surge without data behind it. Processing lag happens, and an empty Sheriff news page proves nothing about booking volume.

Can a released person still appear? Yes. Some released records remain searchable through a release-date range. If the online record is missing, GCSO Records is the right office for the underlying county booking sheet and photo.

Note: Custom dates reproduce a useful window, but they do not create an official Glades County weekly arrest log.

Glades County Arrest App

The Glades County Sheriffs Office app for iOS and its Google Play listing cover agency news, general information, interactive tools, and tip submission. Neither store description mentions an inmate roster or booking photographs. Set your expectations there.

Treat the app as a channel for agency contact and public-safety updates. Then turn to SmartWEB for the verified Glades County mugshot and booking search. The app is not an emergency tool. And a generic sharing icon is no proof of a booking-alert channel.

Glades County Court Event Alerts

The Glades Clerk's E-Notify service tracks felony, misdemeanor, and criminal-traffic cases. Look them up by clerk case number, uniform case number, or party name. By default it sends reminders 14, 7, and 1 days before each court event through a verified email or text. Note: E-Notify announces court dates, never a new arrest or release.

Alert Glades covers emergency and community notifications, not booking photos. No Sheriff custody-release signup was found. And ICE's locator is a search tool rather than an alert service.

Note: Use SmartWEB for bookings, E-Notify for court dates, and Alert Glades for community emergencies; these tools do not share one alert function.

Glades Arrests in FDC Search

The Florida Department of Corrections search becomes relevant after a qualifying state sentence or during FDC-managed supervision. It does not contain every person arrested in Glades County. FDC divides its search into inmate, supervised, released, escape, absconder, and fugitive categories. A known FDC number is the strongest key; otherwise use a name and enough identifying data to avoid a false match.

Official profiles commonly show an FDC photograph, identifier, status or location, aliases, offense and sentence details, and release-related dates. FDC says inmate-population records and photos receive a full weekly refresh, while release dates and location changes update nightly. Its official offender-search menu separates those downstream records:

Florida corrections search for Glades County sentenced offender photos

An FDC image is a state corrections photo, not the Glades County booking photograph. Historical state images can be requested from FDC Records with the person's full name, FDC number, and desired date range.

Glades Booking Custody Paths

The Glades County Detention Center in Moore Haven also operates as an official ICE detention site. Same address, same building, separate records. A local criminal booking lives in SmartWEB. An immigration detention lookup belongs in ICE's Online Detainee Locator. Someone serving a federal prison sentence belongs in the BOP locator, which publishes no public inmate photographs.

Both the Sheriff and ICE confirm the federal detention role at the facility. Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator for immigration custody, and the BOP Inmate Locator for a federal prison sentence.

Note: Sharing one detention address does not turn an ICE civil custody entry into a Glades County criminal booking.

Glades Busted Charges in Court

A booking card only captures a moment. The court file tells the rest of the story. In Glades County, a case moves from first appearance through arraignment, prosecutor filings, motions, and finally plea, trial, dismissal, or sentencing. Circuit criminal records hold the felonies, while misdemeanors and criminal-traffic cases land in the county division. The smart move is copying the SmartWEB case number so you can track the same matter across both systems.

Expect a judge within 24 hours for anyone still in custody, according to the Sheriff. That early appearance handles bond, nothing more. If a case number has not reached SmartWEB yet, try the Glades Clerk records portal later and search by party name. Older files sometimes sit in off-site storage. The Clerk charges $1 per page, $2 per name or case search, and $2 per certification, with mailed misdemeanor requests taking roughly 7 to 10 working days.

One fee makes the final outcome worth watching. The Sheriff collects a $25 non-federal booking charge, and a dismissal or acquittal can open the door to a refund when the person brings the court paperwork back to the Sheriff.

Follow the case: A mugshot and booked charge never establish guilt. Use the Clerk's final disposition before drawing a conclusion.

Glades Jail Complex History

This jail has an odd backstory. A nonprofit was commissioned to develop, finance, and build the newer Sheriff's office and detention complex through a $33 million bond offering. The Sheriff's Glades Correctional Development Corporation page explains the arrangement. The Sheriff runs the facility day to day. The corporation existed mainly to handle project funding and debt repayment. None of that created a second jail or a second record custodian.

Call it the Glades County Detention Center. Sheriff booking pages also use Glades County Jail and the Jail Operations Division. Those labels all point to the same operation. For booking records, photos, and custody questions, the Glades County Sheriff's Office is the office to contact.

Moore Haven Busted Mugshots

Moore Haven stands alone in Glades County as its only incorporated city. It is home to 1,566 people, per Florida's official 2020 Census profile. No municipal police department, city jail, or arrest blotter is listed on the City site. A Moore Haven arrest therefore runs through one chain. It starts with the Glades County Sheriff's Office, then intake at the Glades County Detention Center, the SmartWEB booking record and photo, and finally the Glades Clerk case.

City Hall does keep its own administrative records. Booking photographs are not among them. The Moore Haven Busted Mugshots page walks through the City Clerk request route versus the county arrest path, plus local news coverage. Buckhead Ridge, a census-designated place rather than a city, is not treated as one.
